Regine Jaffry

Black Vogue Magazine, December 1973

Insider Gem:

Regine Jaffry was Chris von Wangenheim’s wife, she was a model and also his muse who worked consistently with him throughout the late 1970s. They met in 1971 when she was cast in a Revlon ad he was shooting. “He didn’t want me as the model but he didn’t have the option as I was contracted by Revlon,” she remembers. Regine became central in the artist's creative process and she was very often on set with him as the photographer’s sounding board and took her opinion very seriously.
